How to Get to UC Davis
By Airplane: The nearest airport is Sacramento International Airport, located 20 minutes from Davis, CA. You can rent a car, take the Davis/Super Shuttle, take a taxi (approximate cost of $50.00US), or public transportation (see link here).
Taking the Train: The Capitol Corridor train services this area about ten times per day from as far south as Oakland, CA and as far north as Sacramento, CA. A train/metro combination can be used to get from Davis to the San Francisco airport. To check train times, station locations, ticket prices and train/BART airport options, please click here. From the Davis train station you can catch a public bus to the campus (5 minute ride). Ask for your free bus pass on the train.
Driving Directions From San Francisco: Interstate 80 to Hwy 113 north toward Woodland. Take Russell Boulevard exit and turn right on Russell Boulevard. Turn right on La Rue Road. Turn left on Orchard Road and drive directly into Visitor Parking Lot #25.
Driving Directions From Sacramento: Interstate 80 south to San Francisco. North on Hwy 113 toward Woodland. Take Russell Boulevard exit and turn right on Russell Boulevard. Turn right on LaRue Road. Turn left on Orchard Road and drive directly into Visitor Parking Lot #25.
Directions to the Energy Efficiency Center at the Academic Surge Building:

The main offices of the Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) are located within the main campus of the University of California, Davis within the Academic Surge building in room #2028 (second floor) in Davis, California. We share office and conference room space with the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS-Davis). Parking for the Academic Surge building is in Visitor Parking Lot #47 which is to the east of Academic Surge on La Rue and Bioletti Way.
Driving Directions to Academic Surge and Visitor Parking Lot #47:
Going west (from Sacramento) or east (from the Bay Area) on Interstate 80, take Hwy 113 north toward Woodland. Take the Hutchison Road exit and turn right onto Hutchison Road at the top of the ramp. At the first light, turn right on La Rue Road. Continue on La Rue around the bend. Turn left into Visitor Parking Lot #47. If you need to purchase a permit (see instructions below), enter on Bioletti Way.
Parking Instructions:
Parking permits can be obtained from the yellow permit dispensers within the parking lot. Permits cost $6.00 for the day. The permit dispensers accept quarters, one-dollar bills, five-dollar bills or VISA and MasterCard. Parking is free on weekends and observed holidays, except when special event parking is enforced.

Directions to the Energy Efficiency Center offices at the Graduate School of Management:

The Center also has office space and a conference room (also known as the "Innovation Lab") within the UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM). GSM is located within the main campus of the University of California, Davis in building AOB IV, a two-story rust-colored building at the corner of First and A streets. The Innovation Lab is located on the second floor of AOB IV in room #245.
Parking:
Parking near AOB IV is limited to a few metered spaces on the west side of the building. These metered parking spaces are for a maximum of 45 minutes and take quarters and dimes only.
Alternative parking can be found if you drive back toward Old Davis Road, continue straight on A Street (approximately 1 block) until the end of the road. Drive across the street into Visitor Parking Lot #5.
Parking permits can be purchased at the yellow dispenser within the lot for $6.00 for the day. The dispenser accepts one and five dollar bills, quarters or Visa and MasterCard credit cards.
Parking is free throughout the UC Davis campus on weekends and observed holidays, except during special events.
Note: The parking lot on the corner of First and A Streets, directly across from AOB IV, is not open to the public.
